Liars, unsafe and an embarrassment to the motortrade

Bought a 30yr old classic with a fresh MOT on it. Paid top money for it, under the provision it was mint underneath. There was bodged welding, heavy corrosion and even worse....the seat mounts were corroded so badly, they were burst away from the floor!!! Both sills bodged The front bumper mounts were nonexistent. Holes in the footwell. .....and yes....it's MOT'D!!! Every single panel has some major rework issue. Mechanically it's not even worth going into. I have been in the motortrade for 20 years, I did not view the car in person due to it being 5 hours away and a good friend of mine, who would vouched for their honesty etc..... well the car is scrapped off the road now.
